Retain 50% on Edmundson and drop Grans from the trade and LA would consider it.

Detroit accepts. No way to reject that offer.

Sandin Pellikka at 5th, solves the RD problem. Kasper should solve the 2C issue in 2 years, not as big of an issue at C that people think. Detroit can now trade any of the LD prospects to acquire a scoring winger.

Red Wings become a powerhouse overnight in only a couple years.

This is one of the worst ones yet. We are supposed to trade away a lottery pick because a guy is tall?

That trade should get Hughes fired immediately. Fortunately he’d never make it.

Winnipeg isn't waiting until 24 for the first or taking back two players that have no value to them, or laughably adding a 3rd when getting back low quality prospects and players. Easy no for Winnipeg.

No doubt. Elmer is a very intriguing prospect that offers a very unique skill set paired with his size. In today's NHL, he is a bigger better version (potentially) of Todd Bertuzzi in his prime. This trade proposal is for sure a bases loaded 3 and 2 swing for the fences on the last out kind of thing. Big payoff potential but highly improbable. If it hits though, it puts Soderblom in the top tier of players in the league for years to come.

For the record, I don't see Soderblom being any more than a top 6 at best, likely top 9. But the size, skating ability, and hands really is intriguing.

Wings obviously accept.

It's a huge overpay OP, but it's kinda nice to see other fanbases valuing Elmer highly

Soderblom (currently) could fetch at most a mid 2nd (Yzerman would be a fool to accept that offer, though).
Red Wings would accept this instantly, and as much as I love Soderblom and expect him to be a true unicorn, no way he gets this much.
There are numerous better players you could get for that pick.
I do think Soderblom turns into a 30 goal scorer, maybe 40 if he is able to get Holmstrom to teach him the art of screenfront presence and tipping (but I think his tops is 30G).

I think Soderblom has 3rd Line / PP1 potential.

.....et personne ne parlait de Tage Thompson comme d'une future vedette et pourtant. Elmer Soderblom monte la pente lentement mais il sera une grosse vedette.

I think this is a safe bet, and i agree. From the sample size we have seen, he appears to have everything required to be an everyday NHLer, but the same can be said of Veleno and Zadina, and I don't see either of them being more than 3rd liners at best (and that is a stretch). Soderblom's development could go south and fizzle out too. There is of course that chance that he just improves everything and becomes a beast. It is too early to tell for sure.
