Initial Creation Date: Mar. 13, 2023
Published: Mar. 13, 2023

Description
There is nothing good on this team. You have a few pieces but the cap hell with the term just makes it impossible to navigate

Keep Cutter in college lowkey. Better to thrive there than play in a crap hole of Philly. Also fire Torts

  1. Bear, Ethan [RFA Rights]
  2. 2023 1st round pick (VAN)
Additional Details:
10OVR (could also be a protected 2024 1st if Van fans like it better)
VAN
  1. Provorov, Ivan ($2,750,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Draft day

So hard to figure out his value, but a deal similar to Romanov's makes sense imo. Romanov was younger but less established and better analytics, Provorov has higher upside and in his prime. Plus once he escapes Philly, he will be much better
2.
PHI
MIN
  1. Deangelo, Anthony ($2,500,000 retained)
Additional Details:
IDK who would want him, not necessarily Minnesota. I dont care what the return is. It could be for a 5th idc. Just need him outta here
3.
PHI
  1. 2023 2nd round pick (CBJ)
Additional Details:
Capitalize on his value. Pick is 36th OVR
4.
PHI
  1. Petersen, Cal
  2. Turcotte, Alex
  3. 2024 1st round pick (LAK)
Additional Details:
Korpisalo walks, try to find a more permanent option. Turcotte needs a change of scenary, LA can spare him. He doesnt have much value so they may as well get what they can for him.

Petersen costs a 1st to dump so maybe if its just a 2nd, that jump from a 2nd to 1st offsets the inequality of Hart for Turcotte
LAK
  1. Hart, Carter
Additional Details:
Condition: If Hart wins more than 25 games for LA in 2023-24, PHI also receives LA's 2025 3rd round pick
5.
PHI
  1. Bailey, Josh
  2. 2024 4th round pick (NYI)
  3. 2025 3rd round pick (NYI)
Additional Details:
My Islanders lol. Just trying to find dead cap to add on and collect assets for. Any picks to take on

Petersen doesn't cost a 1st to dump. Hypothetically, if he did, the Kings would not pay that to dump him. They'd just bury him in the AHL for a season and buy him out next summer.

Canucks did it for hronek 💀💀💀💀💀

And ik Hronek is a RD, but Provorov most definitely shares similar value lol

You have an incompetent front office, get used to it

17OA (which could end up lower) for a RHD with control vs 10OA for a LHD who expires in two years is a massive distinction

Canucks easily decline. 2023 1st is off the table in any trades. Bear won't be moved either. Deal just doesn't make any sense.

17 to 10 OVR are not that different in todays NHL, Provorov has higher upside than Hronek. And control is a scam lol, pending UFAs get hauls all the time. A team cares about term more than FA status

Canucks fans on here constantly over value their assets lol. Horvat was supposed to get more, Hronek is all of a sudden an elite asset and Demko will get two firsts and an A prospect! Look at what other players get...

I can tell you don't watch the flyers at all. Fire torts is the last thing they should be doing. Fedotov is stuck in Siberia and not even playing, he won't be signed. Flyers aren't trading Hart for that and they will retain Half on Hayes and get a better return. TDA is worth more at the deadline half retained next year, he's only got a year left.

Ain't a team in this league that is going to take Hayes on without retention. He has had a solid rebound year, but it doesn't mask years of inconsistency, and very poor defensive play. All for a getting on in years.

For the '23 2nd, you're looking at half or near to it, most likely.

Turcotte doesn’t need a change of scenery. He needs his opponents to stop targeting his head.

I would bet that Vancouver considers three assets absolutely (or at least realistically) untouchable: Pettersson, Hughes and their 2023 first.

Fire torts lol?

if you think that Torts is a good coach then idk what to tell you lol. He is a lockerroom cancer, none of his players have ever said they like him, he coaches like its still the 1980s and refuses to adapt.

It's just not a fit in Van unless Phili wants to help move OEL's contract move elsewhere. The market for RHD is terribly thin if we are comparing to Hronek. Maybe this value is accurate for a team looking for LHD. Maybe CBJ would throw Bean and the Kings first for him in an attempt at a quick turn around?

Difference between 17OA and 10OA is significant. Likely a late first round pick difference in value, especially in this loaded draft. You also want the Canucks to add one of their top 4 RHD as well? Keep dreaming

Huh? Pretty sure players like him. If they can't handle a little bit of hard nosed coaching they probably shouldn't play in Philly

bro nobody values Bear lmao he was literally free at the beginning of the year. Im also not a flyers fan lmaooo

Also my #10 and #17 on my big board are virtually interchangeable. 8-20 this year are all so close. Plus islanders probably wont make the playoffs, and im an isles fan

You may not value Bear but seeing as how he is our 2RD, the Canucks will clearly value him. The Canucks only traded their first round pick for Hronek because they knew they already had one. They aren’t going to trade their other one unless it is for a truly elite player

bro Bear sucks lmfao

Milos Keleman is Arizona's 3rd line RW; Garnet Hathaway is Bostons 4th line RW. Boston's 4th line LW will be Taylor Hall once he returns

Is Keleman>Hathaway and Hall? Your logic is flawed

And not a single Canucks fan wanted to give up their other 1st and they did, who is to say they wont again? Did the team say they wouldnt?

Bear's value is what he is worth to the team. He is worth a lot to the team because outside of him and Hronek, the Canucks have no other good defensemen. Bear doesn't suck. That is simply ignorant of you to say. You also clearly lack reading comphrension and deductive reasoning. The Canucks traded Horvat to acquire a first, Raty, and Beauvillier. They then traded the EXTRA first round pick they had. They had an extra pick to trade. They don't have that anymore. Canucks management has talked very highly of this draft. You think they are going to trade their top 10 pick leaving them with no picks in the first 2 roudns of the deepest draft in recent history? You have NOTHING to back up your claim other than pure speculation and purposeful antagonization

The fact that ive spent the past year watching film, games and studying advanced metrics for this draft class and my mid first round is incredibly close lmaoooo

And there will be plenty of replacement level players in free agency who will be better than Bear. I know what youre doing, it just does not work tears of joy
