Bad trade for LA. Kubalik doesn't upgrade their forwards and Roy is very important to their blue line

I'm all for both deals but I don't think it gets us Roy.

This and Arizona declines, we don't need to move from Schmaltz without a good offer, the pick isn't very enticing

Love the Roy trade, schmaltz should be a pass all day, guys always hurt hasn't played a full season and isn't that great and is older and just a stop gap, no need to trade a first for a stop gap

We have 15 forwards on the roster right now, all of whom are under contract for next season already, plus at least two prospects (Turcotte and Fa-gem-o) who will be contending for spots on the big squad next season, so we wouldn't have the slightest interest in Kubalik at all. That obviates the necessity of any discussion about whether we'd have any interest whatsoever in trading Matt Roy.
