If the jackets end up with a top 3 pick there’s a .0001% chance they trade it. That’s if we get offered mcdavid or Matthews

If Columbus wins the lottery, no chance they would trade it nor would the Habs skip on Bedard if they trade all of this out for Dvorsky;
If columbus hit 2nd to 5th; no chance they would trade off like that, too much skills right now at top 5 to drop to potentially 6th and 14th...
MTL would come in around 6th and Dvorsky is currently sitting at 11th... So I don't think they would take a chance to move up and lose so many picks while there are so many talented players between 6th and 11th just to get Dvorsky.

On the other hand... they did suprise everyone when they called Slaf.. So ... I don't think this could happen, but last year, they proved everyone wrong by selecting a potential 2nd liner over a potential 1st liner... I still say Wright will be better long run...

This is assuming it's 3rd overall

No chance. The jackets already have too many prospects at this point they need quality over quantity. They would just draft fantilli, michkov or carlsson

Then Columbus would not trade that for a 6th and a 14th... And Habs would not take that kind of chance to get Dvorsky while having at least 5 way better choices out of the 8 prospects... I could see them picking him 6th even if he's 11th overall right now, wouldn't suprise me to do a half baked move like that. But they would not give up all of this to move up 3 positions to get him.

Don't mean to jerk you around or downplay what you'r doing here, it's your armchair you cna do or think what you want, but check out the prospect list and value they have this year.

All team tend to say that this year will provide such great players it may roll upwards to the 20th to 25th overall pick... Normally you kind of hit the best of the best at the 8th to 10th. While the top 5 are basically gold for any team. Columbus would probably prefer picking high than trading it out especially after signing Gaudreau and Laine for such big contracts. They would need to hit it up with a player able to center a first line in their first or second year.. And with players like Carlsson, Fantilli, Smith (not the slapper, but the player) and Yager all being centers in the top 7 picks that could roll with those two.. you don't want to move down and have another team pick 'em up faster than the rank and not have a true 1st centerman at 950K$ for 3 years.

THey could play for Dvorsky, but again, Carlsson, Fantilli, and Smith are better looking prospects for them and from your choice, Habs would pick him before any of those three and leave 'em for the other teams to pick them off before you have a say in the draft...

You think any team would take Dvorsky 3rd OA? Or trade up to do that? Over Carlsson, Michkov, Benson, Cristall, Smith, Moore, Sale, Barlow, Yager, etc.?

Dvorsky's ranged 11 to 18 in most recent prospect rankings I've seen. He could conceivably be available at Florida's pick.

Dvorsky at 3rd yuck and you give away all that draft capital oh boi

Of course the typical ‘brilliant’ negative feedback don’t notice that part of the ACGM

This may turn out to be the most overhyped draft class ever.
5 legit stars and a lot of question marks
