LA isn't inclined to give up anything of value for Matthews. If he wants to sign in LA, he will do so as a UFA and the Kings won't have to give up anything of value to the Leafs. Matthews isn't going to let Toronto choose where he plays the next 8 years of his career because that team is willing to give up the best trade value.
