One thing the Sabres need is a goaltender for the future. The rest of the team is coming around pretty solidly. Can't see them moving either Levi or UPL in any deal that doesn't include a #1 goalie

I heard that the Sabres having Leinonen may make Levi available, not sure on how good Leinonen is though.

No Levi is clearly their best goalie prospect. They aren’t trading him.

You don't need to be a douche, I literally said that the report was that he may be available because of Leinonen but I didn't know how good Leinonen was.

Leinonen so far has been disappointing in his D+1. He's a long shot and shouldn't have been taken in the 2nd round. He was more of a 4th round talent that the scouting department in Buffalo really liked, probably due to his size.

A lot of the speculation on Levi being available was nothing more than wishful thinking from a Habs writer looking for click bait from what I've seen. There was never any real merit to it. It just generated a lot of clicks, because like most fan bases the desire for a local kid is always going to be high.

Tbh I didn't even know Levi was a local kid lol. Thanks for the report on Leinonen, I didn't really know what kind of prospect he was. That's why I said "reportedly Levi may be available" seeing as Levi was just signed though and Leinonen isn't that great of a prospect then Levi was probably never really available like you said. Thanks for the info.
