I understand why the flyers want a lot for Joel Farabee, but I can’t think of any good reason to trade a first round pick for a winger coming off a serious surgery. Especially considering his play since then has been god awful.

That whole trade isn't worth it to me for other reasons, but Montembeault isn't worth anything near a 1st.
Full credit to him for playing as well as can be expected in a tough situation, he has definitely shown some improvement.
Not enough to sell me on his long term viability as a starter however.

That is a good point about Provorov. I'm not a fan of Sanheim with his new contract. He looks like he hasn't improved much and is still a marginal #4. I'd want the Jets to stay away unless Philly is retaining or providing some extra incentive to take him.

Maybe Konecny and Laughton or Farabee?

Change Montembeault for Allen and Anderson for Edmundson, add a 3rd 2024 pick with Hart and maybe Habs would study the situation.
