Forbert is fine but I hope it Edvinsson there and if not Chairot probably stays on the left. Adding forbert and schenn is good defensively but I don't think people realize how much losing hroneks points and ability to transport the puck hurts the back end. I'm all for Hayes, idk if that's the deal but I'd take him.

Not a bad deal for Hayes. Not sure what the other offers will be around the league but this could be acceptable in my opinion. I like seeing it be a bit more realistic where the Flyers are not retaining a ton and not taking a contract back. He's a 50 to 60 point player that the Flyers have asked to be a 1st liner due to injuries the last 2 years. It is not shocking that he's not that guy.

The only thing I could see happening is the Flyers elect to keep Hayes with all of their youth coming up.

Agree with all above, considering hes historically been in that Horvat production, and his production this year, his 7mil cap hit isn;t out of line with just 3 yrs left, especially given horvat just signed for more $$$, very long term, after an expensive trade. Hayes is a good team guy, leader type and the rumours of "rift" between he and Tortorella is largely untrue, and hes one of the few playmakers/passers PHI has at the moment.

Lombardi and a 2nd is a pretty good return, but PHI will likely get a few similar offers if they decide to move Hayes (Couturier will be back, Foerster may play C in PHI next year, still have frost/cates/laughton who all can play C). But 3 yrs of retention might need a tad more...(a 2024 or 2025 4th?).

But a pretty good offer.

Lombardi is actually rated as a pretty high prospect on our depth chart. Also being a centre it would be very hard to move him in my opinion, to I wouldn't want to include him for Hayes. I would do like a second and third in the offseason meaning no 2023 picks, which I feel a deal is more likely to be made. I would deal the third with someone McIsaac or Veleno though. I don't think we would be in on him for much more than that or at least I wouldn't be at where our team is.

Thats why I think its deal for PHI to think about, they lack real C prospects, and 3 yrs of retention is worth a bit and as I said above, I dont think Hayes is massively overpaid considering his contemporaries. While the 2nd might not be in 2023, it would require a package like that, a good prospect and a good pick, Hayes as a 2C 50-60pt guy has value. A 2nd and 3rd might do it without retention.

Yeah it's tough cause we still aren't in a position to give up good assets for players that are just gap fillers. We aren't competitive until his contract runs out.

The team thats 18th in goals against and 19th in PK doesn’t need one of the best penalty killers in the league who’s a super good defensive d man at $3M? Really?

Where do you play Edvinsson or Johansson next season? Would he make the team better? Yes slightly, but he would hurt the development of our future players now.

Considering he has played quite well and just extended I don't see any situation where he gets moved. Also I don't see Forbort as an upgrade on Maatta.

I found the delusional comment. It took longer than expected though.
