Yet another poster who either refuses or doesn't actually know what the #16, #20 and #48 are worth. So I guess I'll have to take a stab at it.

#10 < #16 #20 #48
So... what then? #7 #8 #9 are almost identical value to #10. #5 or #6?
OK. So that must mean that #10 #17 and #40 must be worth even more, right? How much more? Certainly not #1 or #2. So #3? Are we all in agreement? Because I would do that trade all day long. Are we all in agreement? Because I can edit this ACGM as soon as we all agree. Let me know, thanks

You were actually provided a pretty good recourse, it seems as if you decided to ignore it?

Image-5-26-22-at-9.43-PM-980x701.jpg

Here is a hypothetical value chart based off each pick in this draft.
It's safe to assume that picks 10-20 aren't super far off in terms of value.

The article also states "The gap is most significant at the first overall pick and steadily decreases until the values converge at approximately the 35th pick. In other words, the data suggests that a team is likely to produce surplus player value if it trades down out of the first round–even if it makes just an “average” trade as indicated by the market."

It is counterintuitive for a team with the 16th overall pick to move multiple assets to move a few spots down closer to the 10 range.

You may edit this ACGM all you want, but you may also want to consider acknowledging when you may be wrong!

The chart indicates that the Wings should easily be able to trade 2 firsts and 2 2nds for Fantilli. Sign me up!

That article is such trash lol. First of all it was written for the 22 draft, second it values detroits 2 firsts and 2 of their seconds higher than the #2 overall. What a joke.

Is it trash because you don't agree with it? It's not very far off in value, and I'd consider it a good resource.

Ah, the classic "I'm right, and everyone else is wrong"

I see now.

It is no doubt that you are a known Detroit fan that people don't like interacting with!

Just a genuine question my brother, I came in late to the thread, so I'm curious;

Does being this stubborn get you some sort of gratification? It's strange that when faced with so many opposing, yet same opinions, you'll keep your back pressed to the wall fighting your point.

Instead of being an adult about it and saying "maybe I'm wrong", you fight everyone with a different thought.
I dunno... it's a food for thought I guess.

You're right. The completely illogical chart created by some random guy I've never heard of proves it.

You can't possibly believe that the 16, 20 and 48 is worth the 4th overall, or that the 10th, 17th, 40th and 41st is worth the 2nd overall.

I think your misguided aggression to random people on ACGM threads is some sort of deep dive into your inability to have normal debates.

And making random posts trying to troll those with opposing opinions? That is strange. You might need to find new ways to spend your time!

If you read it, it’s an estimated value.

I provided it as it gives a good baseline of how they’ve been viewed in the past which is the closest thing without actual inside knowledge of how each GM feels that you can look to.

In terms of your question of what they’re worth or what pick you could pry free, there’s never going to be a consensus agreement. But adding on pick number 20 and pick 48 to move up into the 4th tier of prospects in this draft when it’s (debatably) tiered off around 1,2-4,5-7,8-14,15-45 doesn’t seem all that realistic. The only way I could even remotely see someone doing that is if Michkov fell and one team was extremely confident that they could get him to come over after the 25-26 season.

Yeah that's a no for the blues. There is a site that has the draft pick value and both of these deals heavily favor the Wings by a lot. The most recent trade is Arizona trading the 27th, 38th, and 45th to San Jose for the 11th overall, and that trade happened last year. You can ever look at the Redwings to see that they traded the 22nd plus the 47th for the 14th.

If others teams will give them up, we will take them. Unfortunately it's not happening.
