Lines Next Year

Created by: HabsAreSus
Team: 2023-24 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 16, 2023
Published: Mar. 18, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
if he's healthy then take the flyer on Monahan and flip him at the deadline for a mid round pick, he can help Dach and Suzuki with faceoffs.

Armia might be a buyout victim before hes ever traded since he'd be a cap dump

Hoffman should be able to be moved for something, especially being on an expiring deal, so retaining on him wouldn't be to bad

Dvorak and Eddy Trade is a Draft floor trade

You probably need to take cap back in the Edmonton trade.

yes montreal will not need toi retain slaary on dvorakfor 2 years. they would just keep him if it came to that. he is a good third line center and no need to move him so no retention and hoffman goes whereever and with his track record and for 50% retention he is easy to trade so wherever

the 4 years on a buyout is the problem so send him down this year no one will claim him and you can use him when injuries hit and maybe a buyout or trade next year on Armia

Deroit was mainly a place holder but if they are fighting for a playoff spot hoffman on the third line could be good and its cheap

Dvorak would not be needed if Montreal kept Monahan (and he was healthy)

Montreal will be a bottom 10 team again next year so move assets while you can
