Yep, had Gaudreau and Marchenko as his wingers. They lost 7-2, but he finished with 2 assists, was +1 and had like 68% corsi and 55% xGF. Marchenko was around the same too with 1g 1a and Gaudreau had the same corsi but 41% xGF

You should probably slow down. He played center for 1 game. This should absolutely not be a permanent thing moving forward. He has a history of being bad defensively which will not fly as a center

All you doubters that haven't watched him since he played in Winnipeg and repeating the same tired narratives will have your eyes opened as he leads Columbus to the Stanley Cup next summer.

Or Im just having some fun based on a single game sample size and you don't need to be such a downer. Also his defense actually is significantly improved over his time in Columbus so maybe give that tired narrative a rest. the way Laine drives play being such a big body and having so much puck confidence makes his center possibility so much more a sure thing. Just learning the defensive game and continuing to learn faceoffs, even such put him in the OneT spot on powerplay and have Boone be center for faceoffs and his netfront jam-ins. If we get Bedard we will have one of the best top 6s in the league for years to come lol. Running into an Ottawa situation. Amazing top 6, solid defense future, no goalie
