Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This is what it will take for the rangers to some what recreate what they have this season; Pay cuts, Smart moves and a whole lot of luck

Laf- Same contract as Kakko, very simple

Chytil - $4,000,000 a month ago seemed extremely low but a dip in production lowers his price, still a low ball, but hopefully this is the place he wants to play

Miller- I can't see miller getting paid more than Chytil even though he may be more important to this team. Staggering the contracts so they don't have a massive burden in 4 years

Tarasenko- Simply just pray that he does not need the money and this is where he wants to play.

Motte- Fore-checking beast try and resign him no matter what

PTO Players- Low risk players signed on min deals for depth

Pretty sure someone would be willing to offer Miller a 6.5mil offer sheet, or Chytil in the 5-5.5mil range, and Laf a 6x1. That Tarasenko contract is wishful thinking. You are more likely to get Kane to sign that contract. Really depends on how much the RFA’s are wanting.

Offersheets rarely happen and the other party has to sign said offersheet… depending on which team it is, the player probably won’t sign away from a contender…

Kane is most likely going to stay, I feel like goodrow will be an odd man out this off season.

Offer sheets being sent happen more often than people think. Players actually signing offer sheets is rare.

Everyone always says that you can just move Goodrow. It won’t be as easy as that. I went over this in another post, but I won’t bore you with the details here. Long story short, a deal would have to be agreed on, and Goodrow won’t make it easy on the Rangers by taking away half the league immediately. Here you have Miller on a 4mil X 5 year deal. A team could send an OS at 6.5x1 year, and extend Miller long term at 5+mil. Between those 2 options, the latter seems like a better deal, does it not? For Laf and Chytil, a team could give more money than what is offered, as well as higher ice time than what they are currently getting. Again, would that not be more tempting than pretty much being stuck with 3rd line minutes, but to have top 6 minutes on a consistent basis? Sometimes, it’s not about the money, but the opportunity.

The opportunity is there, I think it’s going to be more available next season. Millers been given plenty of opportunity. Due to the cap restraint we have Kakko chytil and Laf will be forced up in the depth charts. Goodrow will be costly to move, or not, no one can really tell. A contender with the space would probably love to add a player like him. His pedigree, multitool style of play, and compete has value, he’s not an entire cap dump.
