I’m wondering if the actual NHL Gms are this low on Mantha as the Capfriendly community is. (Me included) lol. I hope not.

No thanks from Winnipeg. Start with a package similar to Horvat and add.

Pierre-Luc Dubois has been a basket case wherever he has played, He's going home to Montreal anyways.

That may not be the issue, the issue may be that you want to trade him for cap space. Cap space likely wont be quite as valuable as last offseason, but when guys like Pacioretty and Bjorkstrand go for almost nothing just to clear capspace, you can't realistically think Washington wouldn't have to pay to clear Mantha's contract.

Absolutely insane comment to compare Nick to his brother. Jason is a top ten point scorer on pace for around 45-50 goals

I saw your comment fool and said it was insane. Just cause he might have Jason's potential is ridiculous. Anyone might become anybody but that doesn't mean it would ever happen

This package is extremely comparable to the Horvat one if not better. The only thing missing is an overpaid middle 6 winger as the Beauvillier comp, if you really want that coming back Mantha is all yours

It's getting there. But you'll notice I said start with the Horvat package and add, not subtract. The value just isn't there and I don't think Washington has anything enticing enough to add.

you're not getting a significantly better return than Horvat. PLD is a better player, but the NHL doesn't work like that.

I didn't say significantly more, I said add from the Horvat deal, not subtract. PLD is younger, better, has a full year of extra control. He'll likely return better grade prospects, players or picks. That's how the NHL works. The Jets don't have any incentive to move Dubois early for less than he gets as a rental at the TDL. They'll just move him elsewhere.

18 to 12 isn't noticeably better and the prospects are about equal.

Devils can offer you tyce thompson. He might have the potential of his brother (he is actually quite mediocre)

“ 18 to 12 isn't noticeably better” lol oh? In one of the deepest drafts? If a team wanted to jump from # 18 to #12 they would easily have to give up a top 50 pick. Sharks got # 34 and #45 to drop 16spots in a weaker draft

I guess we'll just have to see. I don't think there's enough there to interest the Jets, but maybe they really like Chesley.

He clearly never will, he breaks every 0.000000000001 seconds which completely killed his development even if he wasn’t that would’ve still been an insane take
