Description

I entered the phrase "propose a trade for Auston Matthews" in a text generator, and this was the output. I don't agree with the trade one bit, but I didn't modify the text at all.

I propose trading Auston Matthews to the Ottawa Senators in exchange for Brady Tkachuk and Thomas Chabot. Both Brady and Thomas are young, talented players who could help the Maple Leafs with their future plans. Brady would bring both physicality and skill to the team, while Thomas plays a two-way game and could provide stability and offence on the backend. The Maple Leafs could benefit from adding these two players to their roster, while also getting something of value in return for Matthews.

it has been rumored for the last few year that AM wants 15M on his next contract, that would be 1M less than both Chabot and Brady combined, and both players combined will outscore and outpoint AM every year, this is a bad trade for OTT and one no team would do. i would not do a 1 for 1 with either sens player for AM, he will make too much, (he is not worth his current contract and certainly not worth 15M).

It actually wasn't ChatGPT, but I would imagine most AI run similar intel on hockey

As good as Matthews is, Sens don't need a Center (Tim Stutzle, Josh Norris, Ridly Greig, Shane Pinto)

They need a player like Tkachuk much more and also keep Chabot as they finally have 4 legit Top-4 D-men.

Change the GM and coaching staff and go from there

Improve the bottom-6 and find a good reliable backup to allow Sogaard to continue developing in the AHL.

Unless Matthews would come with a very reasonable extension around 11.5 AAV but we know that's not gonna happen

yeah but which one would it be start to trade him for?

Stutzle, Tkachuk, Norris or Batherson? No

DeBrincat I would but then who plays wing? And what happens once Matthews makes 14.0+ AAV?
