As General Manager, I would like them to hire someone different, outside the box. I look to mirror Montreal and hire another agent, Pat Brisson. I really believe his approach to this will help the organization out.
    LAK
    1. Hextall, Ron
    Additional Details:
    Fire Ron Hextall
    2.
    PIT
For President of Hockey Ops, I would love for the team to bring back Ray Shero. He would be perfect mentor for Pat Brisson, as he has been a general manager before, especially in this market. He would serve a lot better than Burke, who really just does season ticket holder meet and greets at this point.
      MIN
      1. Burke, Brian
      Additional Details:
      Fire PR puppet Brian Burke
      3.
      PIT
      1. Fabbri, Robby
      Additional Details:
PIT gets a younger forward on an expensive deal, hoping to get him going again. This is a deal Jim Rutherford would have made.
      DET
      1. Nylander, Alexander [RFA Rights]
      2. Petry, Jeff ($1,250,000 retained)
      Additional Details:
Petry becomes a stop gap for the Red Wings as he fills the Hronek hole. He is a Michigan guy and would be a great leader for a young team, and reunite him and Chiarot.
      4.
      PIT
Any team looking for a solid defensive RHD— a 4th round pick or prospect will do.
        5.
        PIT
        1. Addison, Calen [RFA Rights]
        2. Duhaime, Brandon [RFA Rights]
        3. 2024 5th round pick (BUF)
        Additional Details:
Addison seems to be in MIN doghouse right now, so the swap of young talent could work for both teams since Smith can play both sides.
        MIN
        1. Smith, Ty [RFA Rights]
        2. 2024 3rd round pick (VGK)
        Additional Details:
PIT adds better pick since Duhaime is coming back the other way, a player I would really like to add to our bottom six.
        6.
        PIT
        1. 2024 4th round pick (SJS)
        ARI
        1. Granlund, Mikael
        2. Puustinen, Valtteri [RFA Rights]
        3. 2023 7th round pick (FLA)
        4. 2024 7th round pick (PIT)
        Additional Details:
Not sure what Hextall was thinking getting Granlund, so we add a solid player in Puustinen that can play in ARI top nine next year while adding Granlund to help stay at cap floor.

Wings pass, trade makes no sense. You pay us to take Petry and that's pretty much it

How? You guys get a veteran stop gap that fills the hole Hronek leaves while moving out Fabbri and his $4M cap hit. You guys have younger players ready to play middle six wings at this point.

Yes to firing both of those guys.
I don't think Detroit should do that trade. I'm not big on Fabbri since he seems to get hurt often but he's effective when he plays. Petry is old and slow and don't want him on the team. Nylander is probably a career AHLer.
I don't really know about the Minnesota trade.
No reason for Arizona to do that. People keep sending contracts to Arizona to help them reach the call floor, you look at their roster for next season they have 56M already committed and RFA's to sign which will get them there easy enough. I don't think they take Granlund for free since he makes more than his cap hit.

Fabbri is flexible since he can play all three positions. Petry is not good anymore. Also we actually aren't that jammed up with forwards right now after trading 3 at the deadline. Only two possibilities I see pushing for NHL time next season in Kasper and Soderblom. Both would benefit from playing in the AHL next season. We do need RHD but likely could find better free agents that cost less or if we really need to, trade for one.

Petry is a cap dump, we don't need a stop gap, we need players that will be here long term and younger. Unless Pitt is paying heavy price on his dump, your stuck with him

I think LA would rather bring back Jeff Solomon as a VP or Special Assistant rather than Hextall. But that would be funny to see a GM trade somewhere. The fan base has had a love hate relationship with Blake, but we would never make that trade. Blake’s done well.

Hextall wouldn’t go anywhere but home. I put LA because that’s where Brisson lives.
