Even with Petersen and Walker gone, Kings can't afford Sanheim. They still need to resign Vilardi and sign another goalie. Also Spence won't be part of a cap dump.

Maybe, but dropping 7.65mil in bad/average players (especially petersen with 2 yrs left), and getting a 2LD back (albeit overpaid) will cost and sanheim and spence are the only 2 things with any value in there.

I agree, but I think the Kings would rather resign Gavrikov for cheaper and keep Spence than use Spence to dump Petersen+Walker and take on Sanheim's larger cap hit.
