2025 season Cap Structure

Created by: AC14
Team: 2024-25 St. Louis Blues
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 22, 2023
Published: Mar. 22, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
- inspired by a post of a trade of Debrincat to STL. I just wanted to check what the cap would look like 2 years out if it became reality. With minimal moves being made aside from re-signing guys and Bolduc graduating. Also added Lassi Thomson to the deal, could be replaced with a RD like JBD or someone else who looks to be getting pushed out of OTT due to a numbers game. Some contracts are assumed to have an additional year due to time of current deal expiring for the sake of viewing for the 25 season.

- Not completed. Defense still needs tweaked. Not sure of the best way to go about it though. Will be alot easier to see after the draft depending on who the Blues use their top pick on.

- 1st from Debrincat trade top 10 protected. (I personally wouldn't do it without the protection).

Possibly. I don’t see why either team would really do it though. Binnington won us a cup and Markstrom was better recently.

Ottawa should consider that offer. Seems like Thomson is sliding down the depth chart , especially with Kleven about to sign and Guenette’s continued improvement. He would be better off moving to a new club.

Definitely not worth. Buchnevich is a better all around player and has 3 more seasons at 5.4m AAV

No that would not be an ideal trade for Ottawa. They just can't afford to trade a top line forward for futures.

And regarding Thomson, he is RHD while Kleven is LHD so it doesn't matter.

Next season, it's pretty much going to be JBD vs Thomson, depending on who could help the team the most (defense vs offense). The other might be part of a trade
