Hutson for Dubois

Created by: LIRIK
Team: 2022-23 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 23, 2023
Published: Mar. 23, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Today, George Laraque said he would do Hutson for Dubois. It's not my idea. I would personally keep Hutson, i think he's going to be really good.

To MTL fans : Dubois is as good as Suzuki. 20+ minutes a game center. We need another top 6 center, and can afford to lose a LHD prospect. I know it hurt to sacrifice Hutson, but we get to keep every other pieces it might cost for Dubois. (FLA 2023 1st, Barron, Mailloux, Beck, etc...)

To WPG fans : Lane Hutson is the best D+1 among all drafted dmen since 1990 who didn't play in the NHL directly after being drafted. I know WPG don't need another LHD, but he might be the best prospect you can get for Dubois.

Sorry, but what do you mean in this statement?

I feel like you are just saying this because you know we are all to lazy to fact check this
(I mean..... I'm not doing it)

If PLD is so determined to be a Hab, should the Canadiens just wait a year? Having PLD in the lineup in 23/24, the Habs still miss the playoffs.

As Shiftee mentioned above......."Lane Hutson is the best D+1 among all drafted dmen since 1990 who didn't play in the NHL directly after being drafted. " What a crazy statement.

Winnipeg already struggles to get Heinola in the lineup. Why would they add Hutson at the expense of their top 6 C?

Dubois openly said he wants to play for MTL. Hutson is a top prospect, i think it makes sense value wise

Shouldn't be trading your best shot at having an actual 1D though, they are pretty hard to get and while Guhle is solid I don't think he has true 1D potential

the guy is the next Brian Leetch, you don't move him. Laraque is a trashtalker when it's come to trade, just like Normand Flynn few years who wanted to trade Suzuki for Simmonds ...

As for the Jets fan Hutson would be your 1st d-men, but yeah why scramble your d-corp for a top pair rookie ... LOOOOOOL ! awesome face

Hutson is a LHD the size of a small child and likely never makes the NHL as a full time regular. He doesn't have anywhere close to this value.
