Take a look at Buffalo, Detroit, Ottawa, Florida... I really think you are over-estimating where this team will end the season with PLD on it. We will be dead last in the Atlantic Division again next year.

All of those teams have been rebuilding longer and are farther along than us while being out of the playoff picture. All of them will be better next year than this year, just like us.

Boston, Toronto, Tampa, Florida, Buffalo, Detroit, Ottawa... Which teams do you predict we will be better than if we get PLD in the offseason?

I said we’ll probably be picking around 10th, I didn’t say we would be a playoff team. We’re picking 5th or 6th this draft and we’re not going to be this bad. A lot of things went wrong this season.

My point in saying that is adding Dubois doesn’t stop us from getting a top 3-5 pick because that wasn’t going to happen anyway, so it’s not cutting corners. Imagine we were picking 3rd this year, we’d be adding Carlsson and he’s probably going to step right in an have a big impact, but were not picking 3rd. We most likely pick a player who doesn’t come straight to the nhl, but adding Dubois would be no different. It’s adding high end talent to a team that needs it.

I understand you not wanting to move certain prospects, but not wanting to make a move for Dubois at all is strange to me.

We would regret that. Mailloux is gonna be a good one.

I haven’t seen many updates on him, how is his character improving?

From what I've read he participates in lots of personal and professional growth training and spent his suspension and the summer doing community outreach.

I am open to trading for Dubois, but I would not trade a RHD.
