Toews is expected to retire in the offseason due to long Covid, love the term for mcleod but hate the AAV 3m seems a little to much with that term he would probably get something around 2 mil lowest would be 1.5m.

Brannstom trade is to much of a underpay he will be one of the senators best defensemen, he would end up costing around a 1st, and a 2nd or prospect to even get Ottawa to consider it even with that I doubt that they would want to move a young defensemen with such high up side.

Nashville has already stated that they have 3 untouchables and Saros is one of them

I feel like Kraken would rather just trade for Brannstrom themselves with their pick rather than for a cap dump winger they don't need and an older defenseman.

Terrible offer for Brannstrom lmao. Controls possession in all zones, strong defensive metrics, utility on both special teams and he can play both the left and right. I can't imagine Ottawa will be able to find a more versatile 3rd pairing Dman for what he will make (probably less than 2mil). They definitely don't come close to replacing what he's worth to the team with a 3rd round pick.

Why trade two useful players to a division rival for just a 3rd, and then turn around and trade that pick for a an undersized LHD when Broberg is standing right there?
