Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Habs trade Farrell and Kidney to replace them with Brown and Stevens (montrealer) from Boston University, two Lane Hutson teammates! They also sign Ncaa Quinnipiac goaltender Yaniv Perets, a kid born close to Montreal.

They win Fantilli and draft Hrabal with the Rangers pick. Maxim Strbak is their second round choice.

In their goal depth chart they now have Dobes Perets Dichow Hrabal and Primeau. Vrbetic sign a 2 way with Laval. Perets, Dichow and Primeau fight for 2 goalies spot in Laval and the loser goes with Vrbetic to 3-Rivières! Dobes and Hrabal stay in their respective league and team.

Best part of the Ranger trade is you're not getting Laffy or the 1st round pick but keep dreaming.

The funniest thing is you post ridicules trades but then want other people to explain why they are ridicules and be constructive.

Edmunson is broken down, why throw away two young assets for that, yes I see Ylonen in there but he isn't an improvement on Kupari.

Oilers Decline without any consideration, you expect them to trade one of if not their best prospect and one of our best shutdown RD for a lousy haul that even Chuck Fletcher wouldn't even accept, our left side depth on D is already fine with Broberg who is better in every way so trading us a 22 year old left shot Dman isn't worth looking at, Gurianov has potential to be something good but Holloway will be better overall, Kupari is approaching bust territory IMO even so he will be playing 4th line minutes possibly 3rd. If you want the Oilers to look at this trade add in 2 1st rounders and Dach then we can talk

saying that Ylonen is not an upgrade or improvement is not looking at those players at all !!

Wouldn't worry about it, Ylonen is getting traded to Winnipeg in the Dubois trade... 😉

Ylonen know how to shot the puck and play an accurate 2 way game too.

Sounds like exactly what the Jets need!

I really liked Ylonen at the WJC years ago.

Kupari will finish this year with about 130 games under his belt. He's an excellent defensive forward, has a 54% faceoff win rate, and together with Blake Lizotte is expected to fill our #3C and #4C positions for a couple of years at least. With ten wingers under team control for 2023-2024 already and Turcotte and Fa-gem-o competing for a slot on the main roster in training camp, we wouldn't have space for Ylonen even if we didn't have better prospects than he is. Helge Grans is an excellent defense prospect and he's worth more to us than one season of Joel Edmundson, who isn't either the picture of health or performing better than a third-pairing defenseman.

My biggest issue with the Laf deal is it creates a hole in our top 9. As nice as it’d be to keep Kane or Senko that’s not a guarantee and I’m not sure if Othmann is ready to make that jump. Prospects are decent but won’t help us next year either. As we try to contend while Igor is still cheap it makes it tough to consider a deal like above because at worst Laf is middle 6 or top 9 winger. We know he’s capable of playing in the league. With the prospects we’d be taking a decent sized risk. Best case is Laf eventually breaks out and establishes himself a top 6/ top line winger. I’m not sure if the upside is there to make me consider pulling the trigger on the deal above, but that’s me. Deal isn’t bad, just not sure it’s good for us given the current state of our team.

Gurianov to complete McDavid speed would be good tho.

you can remove NYR sending the 1st rounder and it still isn't enough for Laffy.
