As a St. Louis fan, I'm definetly biased, but a bit in the wrong way.
Pietrangelo is maybe, MAYBE in the Top 20 D-men on the league? Up there with the best defenseman in the league, Ben Lovejoy of course, and maybe just a bit below living god himself Luca Sbisa or Carlo Colaiacovo.
But seriously, he is definetly a solid Top-2 D-man, but honestly? His trade value would maybe be around like... Hm. This is stumping me. Maybe around someone like Jason Spezza's trade value? He's good, but he's aging. Not as bad as Jason I-Used-To-Be-A-Senator-But-Now-I-Suck, but Pietrangelo will eventually start dipping and I feel eventually stop producing as much as he should. It worries me as a guy who has bled blue since 2013. (I know, not long. Listen, I live in a place where not being a ******* Canuck fan is considered heresy. Cut me some slack.)
