I don't think WSH takes that trade. Too much salary coming their way. They only save just under 3mil a year. They would probably ask us to retain part of Shaw's cap hit

I think MTL would have to add. IMO Backstrom is very underrated and in the shadows because of Ovie. For his career Backstrom is nearly a PPG player, just under 30 and signed to a reason hit for what he brings.

I don't think Washington could take on Galchenyuks 55 million per year contract
