LA won’t trade Roy unless it’s in a package for someone better.

Don't touch top two line. Sabres need 3rd and 4th liners and RHD, bottom pair goalies. And of course a goalie.
With that in mind, Patrick Kane pushing Peterka to 3rd line and playing there Okposo is wrong move. I would prefe Mittelstad - Krebs - Kane 3rd line.
Lyubushkin been good recently, wouldn't trade him at all, yet alone for 5th round pick.

I may be in the minority here, but I still believe Heinola can be a top 4 defenseman in the league. Looking at what is ahead of him currently, and the unlikelihood of being able to move out Schmidt, and Pionk to fit him and Samberg in permanently, it will better to move him in a package deal in a blockbuster type trade, or a pick in the first two rounds. Mittlestadt is alright, but what I see Heinola as in the next five years is better than what Mittlestadt has shown and what is going to be, a talented, but inconsistent top nine player with an injury history.
