Disappointed?? Lol...

Look Drury made a mistake trading Buchnevich in order to sign him and Nemeth. I don’t think any of that is in dispute correct? I think he’s a nice player to have for 2 million not 3.5. Is what it is tho.

Look at the end of the day you do have to look at Goodrow’s actual impact, and if the dude is getting paid 3.5 million to be a bottom six forward who can’t even win face offs and doesn’t provide offense what am I supposed to say about it? I’m not gonna lie and say he has value when he doesn’t. Rangers have a great team, and if Goodrow is ur biggest problem you don’t have that much to worry about. That being said he’s still overpaid and has little to no trade value.

Look at the end of the day Goodrow has literally won less face offs this year than Brady Tkachuk. He’s taken less face offs than him too. Like I’m not even sure how that happened to be honest.

First off you’re talking about an eight year buyout which is never fun no matter the cap hit per year. Also there are literally guys in the league who have won 800+ face offs this year. Goodrow isn’t taking that many lmao.

Tkachuk plays with Stutzle who is terrible at faceoffs (career 39%) so Tkachuk takes them. Additionally, Tkachuk is on the ice 4 minutes more per game on avg than Goodrow. Goodrow spent many games on the wing in the NYR top 6 (he wasn't taking faceoffs over Zib or Trocheck) before the acquisitions of Kane/Tarasenko. He's played in 74 games and in 35 he took less than 6 faceoffs and in 20 of those it was less than 3.
Are you literally comparing top line centers who avg 19+m per game to goodrow, who gets 14m per game? Hmm, I wonder what may lead to them getting more opportunities on faceoffs. It can't be general time spent on the ice in any/all situations.

In terms of the buyout, it's only a 6 year cap hit as this upcoming season would GIVE a team +$200k in cap and the following it would give them +$100k in cap (his buyout has the reverse hit the first two years, so 8-2=6). Again, it's also 1.26m or under for 5 of those 6 years. Acting like it's going to cost 4m a year for 8 years. Come back to reality now.

Literally, we are not saying he has insane trade value, he doesn't. But his value IS > 0, and a 4th & 6th round pick are very minimal in terms of value.

That's the tmz hot take. Nobody was lining up for Buch at 5.8m hence the lower return, we needed that cap for a C & depth. Sure Nemeth sucked but Goody is our Trouba up front. Goody has been gold, even while working back from injury, he was hurt in game 1 blocking a shot last year. He is a big piece and certainly worth it, if you actually watch us that is

Gee why would I watch all three teams on MSG? It’s not like I’m paying an ungodly amount of money for it lol.
