For Hoffman it would be either a 3rd or 4th rd pick with HABS retaining 50%

TBH Idk But I can explain my reasoning.
    1. We can get a pick for blackwell
    2. I saw a same trade proposal my another guy that instead of Reese Johnson he/she put MIke Hardman
    3. Saw the same proposal by a pens fan thought it was a good idea.
    4. Bolts need cap space and it would be cool to see seabrook "retire as a hawk"
    5. I saw a trade with Habs getting nothing for Hoffman but I thought that was not realistic so I put a 7th

at that Price HABS don`t trade him and let him ride out the year. You can have him at 35yrs old for free

Generally? I guess. I don't think Ottawa or Montreal considers those. Maybe Montreal does if they need cap space in the offseason.

We'll give you a 5th to retain 50% ($1.125M pro-rated) when we move him with double retention for a 3rd.
Or you can take the chance acquiring him with 50% retained for a 3rd/4th and showcase him through the season to flip him for more and end up with a higher pick than you gave up.

TB needs cap space and CHI has too much of it and needs to reach the floor. They should Seabrook and 3rd for Future Considerations and Hawks can put Seabs on regular IR not LTIR and his $6.8M would count against the cap floor. It's basically what Arizona has been doing.

Thought it was a bit of an overpay considering it's helping Chicago to. You ask a 3 TB counters a 7

Hawks will definitely sign a couple of UFA's in July. They will need a C to play on top line, and a W to play middle 6 role. As to the trades:
    1. Hawks keep Blackwell if all they get for him is a 7th.
    2. Bailey's $5m cap hit probably takes a 2nd to move. Johnstone for Johnson seems fair
    3. Not sure Pens see Pettersson as a cap dump. If so, then why not give him a shot on top pair w/ Jones
    4. Tampa probably gives a 6th to take Seabs. Hawks should do it for exact reasons you stated above
    5. Hawks only take Hoffman if it's for future considerations and they need his cap hit to reach the floor. Hawks won't spend assets (even a 7th) to acquire salary. Too many other options available.

This is not the full plan I just posted that.... I used this team as a "prototype"
