The VAN trade makes no sense at all. A rebuilding team does not give up a 1st for a cap dump.

I don't dislike Sanheim, but Buffalo needs someone who can regularly play RD in the top 4. Sanheim has rotated there, but his minutes on the right are generally limited. Don't know that he's a guy who can play full time on the right as a partner for Power.

Doubtful that Hayes would waive for Winnipeg, apparently Chevy was kicking tires on him though earlier in the year, doubt that'd be the return they'd be looking for in a Scheifele trade either but who knows with this organization, they're such a ****ing mess.
