Well since you're only unloading Eberle for salary relief, and you receive a great puck-moving defender, 2017 Hobey Baker winner in Butcher, decent forward, a pick (I'd go as high as a second) and you'll save millions so you can make McDavid the highest paid player in the NHL. Don't forget the $7+mil you'll be giving to Draisaitl.

We have another year till we have to really shed of salary so I wouldn't expect anything but a good return if he was moved now. Everyone acts like eberle is bad. The guy is consistent 60-70 point guy beside his one down year this year sooooo I wouodnt pull the trigger on anything unless it is to helps us moving forward and gaining puck moving Tyson Barrie would be a plus. I would do eberle plus Caleb Jones for Barrie and a second

Currently you have 8 players (if you remove Eberle) taking up close to $35mil after next season, add Draisaitl, Barrie and McDavid and that'll leave you with roughly $15mil to spend on 5 forwards and 3-4 d-men. Tough to do anything for that many players and that little available spend.

Make Siemens into a COL 4th and you have yourself a deal for Phaneuf, 1st and Pageau. Sens have a Siemens type in Harpur.
Pageau will probably get between 2.5 and 3m on a new contract tbh.
