Laf is finally starting to show why he was a first overall pick, so you're not getting him. Rangers don't have a big enough hole in their line-up to make any trade for Laf worth while for them.

I think there could be something to that Demko trade, but only if CBJ lands Bedard or Fantilli in this year's draft. Maybe not even Fantilli if Vancouver is looking to make that trade now.

Vilardi is a seriously underrated player. Very, very good on both ends of the ice (arguably the King's best defensive forward this year). I doubt they trade him for anything less than this years first from Vancouver and a prospect like Podzolkin. Which I wouldn't do if I was Vancouver unless they get screwed in the lottery.

I'm not saying this as if Pettersson is a top ten dman in the league, but I don't think there's any scenarios where the Pens move him in general. He's our #2 and our best defensive dman and with Dumo leaving, we need to add to the left side, not remove.

If cap considerations ever force the Kings to move a big-ticket contract, they'll trade someone who will bring back positive value rather than sell Petersen at a loss, and wasting Gabe Vilardi for that purpose is more than a terrible loss.
