I really like the Canes deal. Good fit for both teams IF the Caps decide to go young......

But, not sure the Sabres give up on Krebs just yet. You maybe a year early depending on Kulich.

I assume they run Cozen mittelstadt and Jost as their 1-3c so if they could get a decent pick for Krebs that would be a plus.

Explain? As of now he’s slotted to be a 4c. Getting a top 40 pick > maybe 3-4c.

We have plenty of picks and want to see his development. No need on our side thanks

I beleive Krebs will be slotted as 3C next year. But, he is still quite young with serious pedigre. If the Sabres move him (and they could given the forward depth there), I would have to think it is in a package involving a 2RD to play with Power.

Just don't see them.moving him for a 2nd when he has runway to improve.

He's slotted as the likely 3C next year. Very good defensively. No way would we trade a 22 year old center who looks like he could become Cirelli Jr. for a 2nd round pick lmao.

Well for starters Tage is the 1C. Cozens is the 2C. Mitts has been playing wing majority of the season. Jost might not even be on the team next year or will be on the 4th line.

I like that you think Cirelli is good. He’s a 3c with average scoring up side. Lmfao. Like that’s the best comparable you could think of? Woof[

Canes more than likely accept that. It would eliminate the 3rd party needed for retention and the Canes would be able to get the retention they would likely ask for.

How much would Washington be willing to pay to move Mantha? The Canes are very likely to bring back Patches for next year, I imagine they might look to take Mantha on as a reclamation/cap dump project.

Would something like this work:

To WSH: CAR 2023 1st, Conditional PHI 2024 2nd (via CAR, CAR transfers the lower of the 2024 2nds)

To ARI (or other 3rd team): Kuznetzov (via WSH), Conditional CAR 2024 2nd round pick (via CAR, CAR transfers pick not to sent to WSH), A. Heimosalmi

To CAR: Kuznetzov (2.8mil retained by ARI, via ARI), Mantha (2.85mil retained by WSH, via WSH), Condition WSH 2024 3rd (CAR receives best 2024 3rd owned by WSH)

Caps clear a bunch of cap space and gain a first in a deep draft as well as moving up a few spots in 2024 for Mantha. Arizona/3rd party gets extra assets for retention, and Canes get 2 players to help a cup push.

Cirelli is good lmao. He's a perennial Selke candidate that played a huge part in the cup runs. You realize not everything is box scores right?

Do you watch hockey?

Lol yes. You said Krebs could become a junior version of him like that is some impossible task that’s he’s achieving. Like being a 40p solid defensive center isn’t overly difficult. Eller played a massive role in winning a cup but I sure as FK hope McM develops to become much better than him.

Yes a younger version of a guy that played a huge role in a team that went to 3 cups in a row. I'm keeping that over a 2nd round pick that has about a 30% chance of becoming an NHL player lmao.

"Like being a 40p solid defensive center isn’t overly difficult." Damn that easy to be a perennial selke candidate that excels on the PK & is a pest. We've been looking for a guy like that for 10+ years now.

I can pretty much guarantee that unless you blow the doors off Adams Krebs isn’t getting traded. He’s probably their 3C for a long time and he’s developed into a very good defensive forward who had offensive upside if you put him with quality offensive talent. Plus he’s also developed a mean streak which this team has desperately needed for years.

ROR wasn't a 3C. He was either 1C or 2C. Our 3C was a huge hole in the lineup for those rosters. Mostly 4th liners playing in that spot. Center depth has been an issue for the entire drought. At least know a little about the teams before embarrassing yourself even more.
