Habs don't want to trade an expiring player, there is no need to.

You forgot to buyout Hoffman to free up his roster spot. Savings are actually pretty good. $1.2 million against the cap for two years. $2.1 million in savings.

Drouin will be a UFA, Armia can just be buried instead of paying to dump him, and Edmundson isn’t returning a 2nd and a 3rd.

He's using the site to just trash players he doesnt want back
Its not about Trading Drouin its about squashing the "re-sign " him talks since he's Produced at a Matheson like Rate in the same time period since moving to Center.

He's right we dont want Drouin and we do need Armia gone.
Eddy though i dunno , Matheson is always hurt and Eddy just needs limited use until playoffs to be effective
He can still compete at the same level he always could just in a smaller sample size needing more a NCAA like season then NHL to remain consistent.

Point is he just is saying he wants them all gone

They can buyout Armia cheaper. Its 33k next year and a million afterwards.

Savard is gone next TDL anyways , he'll never see his final year in MTL.
Why? It Robs us of the Value we'll get developing the 6'4 Kovacevic who fits in perfectly here.
Wideman goes to the AHL where he can help Mailloux transition to life as a Pro

Eddy is an ideal 7th Dman and leadership type.
Especially if we actually make a run he's quality in terms of replacement options.
Eddy's already said he's open to playing that kind of role , stepping back and helping guide the kids.

Dude's Dad was a Diehard Habs fan so signing with MTL then a SCF that was his dads dream , just short of a cup win that is.
When his dad passed away Joel began speaking publicly about how important it was for him to stay in MTL.
There's a ton of reasons to keep him but above all else 6'6 and always healthy during the Playoffs .
He's basically a modern day Michal Rozinval who was a key depth piece for CHI during their Prime Cup Years.
He picked up the slack for the youth especially Nick Leddy in particular and Trevor Van Rymsdyke among others
