Canucks decline. Don't have cap space or roster space for Edmundson.

All the values of the deals makes sense.

PLD as RW makes very little sense however. I think Dach centering Caufield & Suzuki or Suzuki centering Caufield & Dach makes sense and then PLD with his buddy Anderson and Slaf makes sense.

I think dach will be the better centre down the road between Dach and Dubois, and you're not moving Suzuki off centre. So Dubois plays wing as he's done a lot of fun Winnipeg.

I just think playing a RHC with 2 LWs doesn't product the results as one guy needs to turn his body out of natural attacking position to pass to the center ice or to shoot. But I'm really not an expert here, just thinking common sense. If you want PLD at wing, which is fine IMO, play him on the left.

not sure mtl will do the 3 assets to winipeg deal.... they are better od\ff waiting... but if they did i think they will play dach with suzuki and caufield and dubois with anderson and slaf.... what a huge line that would be....everyone over 6'3"... Be like the legion of doom line.... and you play evans (assuming dvorak went in the dubois trade) with Gally and HLP and your fourth line is Pezzetta, Beck or Belzile and ylonen.. And that leaves Kidney Heinemann, Roy and Farrell in laval to make a great team there.

its not that big of a deal. I just don't think think dubois plays centre in MTL unless management changes their mind and decide they no longer see DACH as a centre. (which they've been saying all year they see him at centre and based off what I've seen of him hes looking like he could be the real deal down the middle in 1-2 years time.)

but those comments are without us having dubois and dach looks so good with suzuki and he is bad on faceoffs..so he would be the back up center when we have injuries

It begs the question though, do we need an 8M+ Dubois as a winger?

he will play center and do we need him depends on if we win the lottery because if we do then we will need that cap space to sign bedard or fantilli down the road so no dubois then

I think if you get him at 8 mil, yes. Because he's versatile, can play centre or wing, 6'4, plays hard, and is a goal scorer / net front presence. He's worth 8 mil or under for sure, but if were talking 8.5-9 then it would maybe be time to reconsider.
