Description
Hello Columbus fans, delusional Canucks fan here.

What would it cost to get Johnson out of Columbus? Assuming CBJ lands a top 2 pick and gets either Bedard or Fantilli, would that make one of Johnson or Sillinger expendable?

Only way Vancouver is getting Kent Johnson in a trade is if it involves Petey.

JT Miller doesn’t fit the jackets timeline. I could see them being interested in 9OA for LAs first, Boqvist and maybe another add though

I would say CBJ declines. Not enough.

I figured that would be the case, as some guys could slide to the wing. But with a C depth that would include Jenner, Roslovic, Johnson, Sillinger, Bedard/Fantilli I feel like one of the young guns *could* be moved.

Columbus passes, They're not trading Kent Johnson, And dropping 22nd from 9th overall for Kent Johnson in a very deep draft isn't worth it. You might be able to get a better player than Johnson at 9 OA.

Nice concept on the trade. But IMO Miller's 8m X 7 is still a too much of a detriment for a trade.

I can understand why. Not enough value for CBJ and too much risk for VAN to drop in a strong draft. Also, VAN likely does not want to relinquish their small chance at FOA.

If Vancouver beats Anaheim tonight, That 9th pick will belong to Detroit not Vancouver.

even then, if pettersson became available, i think the jackets could put the best package on the table by throwing a handful of their other prospects/young guys (sillinger, mateychuk, boqvist, peeke, chinakhov, ceulemans, svozil, dumais) and future picks instead of including their 2023 1st, johnson or jiricek.

what team out there would realistically be able to beat a package of sillinger + mateychuk + peeke/chinakhov + LAK's 1st (~22oa), CBJ's 2nd (~33oa) + CBJ's 2024 1st?
