You would have to pay a decent price for the Blues to take Bryson. Better looking elsewhere or just sending him down.

Looking at the stats Luukkonen isn't an upgrade over Detroit's current backups Ned and Hellberg. Luukkonen is younger and has more potential than Ned and Hellbergbut I don't see anyone giving up a 2nd for him. Maybe if you switch the picks to a 3rd and a 4th. I don't think Detroit could turn it down if the picks were a 4th and a 5th. Personally I think you're jumping the gun a bit by trying to trade Luukkonen .

Easy. Trade Vladar, change the coaching staff (maybe sign a new GM but I wouldn't mind Tre coming back) and run it back. Calgary's cap situation is very overblown

Yeah they get past this year it gets better, but they have a lot of UFA's then.

Excluding Rooney and Gilbert because their pretty much extra's or injury callups the Flames will have 7 pending UFA's going into next season. 3 of those 7 will 32+ by the end of their contracts, one of them hasn't played in an entire year, and one of them is a decent #4/5 defenseman. That just leaves 2, Hanifin and Lindholm, that can be expected to get any legitimate amount of a raise. On top of that the cap is going pretty significantly that summer too
