He had multiple family members pass away sometime before February last year and has been on a team granted leave of absence since to be closer to his remaining family in France. He has given Jarmo a commitment to returning next year though so hopefully he'll be back for the start of next season. It would be incredibly unlikely that he gets traded during this off season after all of this.
