Hot take: Pittsburgh shouldn’t move Granlund right away. Find someone who can actually play 3C and Granlund will be a solid, if overpaid, depth scorer — 45 points or so.

Granlund is mediocre at best. There is nothing that will make him impactful. If they can't move him they should buy him out.

High AAV but lower term, his injury history and having 1 good season doesnt mean he should be kept around forever, plus hes UFA so unless he really wants to stay PIT will have to match the UFA overpays from other teams

Dude is a great passer who gets a lot of power play assists but wont be on PP1. Theres only 2 possible ways he could succeed if he stays: 1. Play him with Malkin and hope they can get some kind of chemistry, 2. Play him as 3C with people who can score. I really dont see either of those things happening so better to get rid of him now rather than mid 2023-2024 or in 2024
