Houston I heard they want to save for expansion draft.

Kansas City is my choice but knowing Bettman and these dumb rumours hes gonna go talk to the Phoenix Suns owner and get something set up in Phoenix again ugh

It only takes one contending team to be left without a dance partner when free agency gets picked through. Winnipeg might as well gamble something happens to drive up the price or see if someone will overpay to avoid that scenario and grab a great goalie.

But you're right, typically goalies will not return that much, and probably shouldn't.

Sounds like Provorov is heading to Columbus and Cal Peterson is heading to Philly. Wonder what the return looks like for Philly who is likely to get significant assets for both

The offseason is upon us, and Jarmo is already making more questionable choices

Multiple models said Provorov should be moved as he just never seemed to fit with Philly. I think he will be a nice addition to CBJ as he wont need to be the top guy anymore. He can slot in behind Werenski and fit in

Philly adding Peterson screams to me Hart's being traded this summer

CBJ has the cap space to eat Provorov's deal too. Wonder if dumping Peterson's contract means Arvidsson is off the block?

I still like Carter Hart. I think who ever gets him will be quiet fortunate, but I'm not sure Philly will get a great return considering Hart hasn't been particularly good since the bubble.

I'd like to see Hart to Montreal tbh

I think so. Not sure why Columbus could need retention. LA will be able to accommodate a Gavrikov extension now too

I almost wonder if Columbus got LA to retain on Provorov as payment for taking on Peterson

Hes 24 years old and has managed to get over 0.900 on a bad philly team. Someone's gonna pay for him

Dont see MTL as they got Montembeault and Allen rn.

I got a feeling hes going to either Buffalo, Pittsburgh, heck maybe VGK come calling. Would say Canes but I got a feeling they gonna want to go target someone with more experience like Hellebuyck

Meant moreso that trading Peterson would allow them to keep Arvidsson. There were rumors early on that LA would be willing to move Arvidsson this summer to clear cap space.

Could be anywhere. Some of the names floated out there could be disputed:

- VGK has Thompson and Hill
- Pittsburgh is Phillys mortal enemy and are yet to make a decision on Jarry
- Buffalo will likely look for a more experienced guy that will be ready to go by the time Levi takes over

My guesses: Ottawa or Montreal

To bad Jack blocks the deal with that M-NTC.

Philly's probs on that list along with Chicago, Arizona, and all the other non competitors. I feel EDM gonna give him one more shot and if he sucks they will either buy him out or try to move him in a cap dump deal

As giving up on a goalie to quick can really **** a team. Look at what happened with Gustavsson
