The diff here is that guy traded to Arizona would then be dealt at the TDL for assets

Like if they got Nylander than flipped him at the TDL they would probs get a 1st + 3rd and maybe a prospect. As when u look at what teams pay for guys like that at the TDL man things could get spicy

But lets see. Just got that feeling were gonna see something very similar occur

I wouldn't be surprised to see the players revolt honestly.
It should be NHLPA supported. Players expect a certain quality of facilities and security, which is probably written down somewhere.

Sweet Christmas on a PopTart, I keep missing the WC games I want to watch. Going back and forth from local time to Helsinki time is messing me up, I keep thinking the game is the next day.

Can anyone tell me how Perunovich has looked so far? I know he set up the winner in the last game, but little else. Who's he paired with? How's he playing?

32 is good, but folding and then expanding a few years later gives another expansion draft with all the fanfare, plus the expansion fee for a new team.

I’m def on the players side. NHLPA allowing this makes it acceptable.

This entire last year I heard 0 complaints from a player while their team was playing in an arena smaller than many CHL arenas and while their owner was more aggressive than usual filling the roster with retired skaters while trading away good ones.

The players did their part.

The ownership didn’t spend to try to get the new stadium.

What could the league do if a handful of skaters just say no? Nothing. Similar to Sutter getting fired, all it takes is enough people refusing to accept the present to force change.

While Dubas wasn't the issue imo, I also believe Toronto needs to undergo a huge retool and I don't think Dubas would've been the one for a retool

Dubas spoke very noncommittal in his exit interview, he mentioned this job was very hard on him and his family.
I suspect it is as much Dubas decision to walk away from the Leafs as the Leafs walking away from Dubas, if not more.

Was there some changes that needed to be addressed with the roster construction, sure. But your taking about a team that just went back to back 50 win seasons.
