You do know projections have him between 25-50 right....

Bob McKenzie got him at 35 and Button had him at 49

I’ve seen him high on a lot of lists and he has the size. Teams could bet on him developing an offensive game but he reminds me of Bichsel and Edvinsson

College free agents rarely play in the NHL within their first year. Hes waiver exempt so will probs go play with the Hogs. Mrazek/Murray can be Chicago's tandem giving the kids more development time

As why put a young goalie in a ****ty situation.

Drew Commesso was drafted.
1-year as backup, 2-years as starter at BU
If he earns the job, run with it.
Plenty of experience there if he plays well enough.

I think I’ve nailed my prediction for the top 12, based on the rumours I’ve seen:

1) Bedard
2) Fantilli
3) Carlsson
4) Smith
5) Reinbacher
6) Michkov
7) Dvorsky
8) Leonard
9) Moore
10) Benson
11) Sandin-Pellikka
12) Simashev

58) Wahlberg

(would be ideal)

Soderblom has already had extended stints in the NHL. Putting him in Rockford with 2 other prospects in Commesso and Stauber is arguably a worse situation.

Dubas should hire Tulsky as GM as Tulsky reminds me so much of him

It would be like there were 2 Dubas running the old folks home

The hiring is a bit confusing as Hextall and Burke already did the Damage. Pitts now an old folks home with a few young guys here and there. Maybe they want him to do what he did in Toronto and build this huge analytics department so when the old guys finally retire they can start setting up the next group (whoever they are)

Dubas made more sense to go to a team like Anaheim as they getting close to competing but lets see how he does as a president maybe Pitt within 2-3 years looks scary again

I think you’re on it.

Dubas’ value is to modernize some teams hockey ops. Bring all the modern management styles, support schedules, nutrition, analytics, etc. I doubt they’re expecting him to be some roster wizard, although they’d like it if he were.

That’s kinda why it isn’t bad that he left. I think I mentioned awhile back: Toronto already got modernized by him - it’s all in place and functional - let the guy go do it somewhere else and not pay him tons of $ to just do what a board says. Even better to have an experienced Canadian gm step in to facilitate the transition.

Also, I’m on team dubas, but … Toronto probably benefits from a calmer gm. Already enough celebrity stuff going on with the market size.

They’d never know if the Sedins switched midway through each session to work on different skills right?

Interesting that this includes NCAA names.

Normally their rights expire in August, unless they unenroll early.

The bottom 6 consisted of Alex Chiasson, Jay Beagle, 7 or so unbelievable games of DSP, and at points it included Shane Gersich and a young Nathan Walker. Madison Bowey played over 50 games on that defense that year. 2022 Avs would have wiped the floor with the 2018 Caps, and the 2018 lightning were had only reached a fraction of their true power.

Can’t believe Detroit would let a former US president leave, what a waste of opportunity
