Clifton will get more.

Caps don't do that deal. I don't think they need Boeser, especially for that price.

I would like to think Habs consider that deal, but it seems they need more scoring upfront since they have too my defensive prospects. So they probably pass

Probably pass?! You can't be serious, of course they pass!

There’s absolutely no shot you get picks 6 and 8 with what you’re giving away, especially in this draft

There is no way the caps are giving up a top 10 pick in this draft for Boeser even with the added 3rd's. The Canadians might consider moving down but not for Rathbone as they have depth and quantity already in their prospect pool on defense. It would have to be a Klimovich or Hoglander which I think is too much to give up.

Capfriendly rule number 1: If a title include the word REALISTIC, the trades are going to be nothing close of realistic.

MTL wouldn’t even consider if you switch Rathbone for Hoglander or Klimovich

Seems like Washington would so much better off just signing Compher themselves instead of giving a first for Boesner.
I can't imagine UFA wanting to sign with the current state of Canucks. Compher and Clifton have better options for sure.

The only Canuck for whom Montreal would consider moving down from 6 to 11 is Thatcher Demko, and you'd still be adding.

I can see the Caps moving from 8 to 11 for Boeser plus one third, but I don't know the Caps well enough to know whether they would even be interested in him. Maybe it's time to look for a replacement for T. J. Oshie, I don't know.

Boeser is not a valuable player in that way. I would value him at a 2nd if the 'Nucks retain 1.6M in salary.

8 to 11 is equivalent to a second in the top half of the round, plus I added a third. The retention is already there.

Alright. I'm just not a fan of the player at all. I would not sign him as a UFA. I see some Hoffman in there.

This is one of those make-or-break change of scenery guys. I thought Conor Garland was going to explode once he went from Arizona to Vancouver. Now Canuck fans are trying to give him away. Boy, was I wrong, and you could well be right about Boeser. (But remember that Jeff Skinner looked awful and took a whole season to acclimate to Buffalo, where he looks pretty good now.)

That's totally fair. To be honest I was pumping Drouin's tires a few weeks ago so I am all about redemption stories. Hope you are right!

I thought Jeff Petry would return the form in Pittsburgh, boy was I wrong 😅

He has been very good. He was one of the best 5v5 players last season and producing very well given his limited ice time and line mates. 46 points isn't bad when you're glued to the bottom 6. GIve him top 6 minutes and legit linemates and he could easily get 60+. Not sure why Canucks fans are so hasty to get rid of him when we have many worse contracts
