Not just the hawks that could do it. This is a fantasy hockey site and i'm talking about an interesting scenario that could happen. Main point is that the Rangers are very vulnerable this offseason and likley would be in a bit of trouble if one of these guys got an OS. Rangers fans are dilusional to think they aern't at least a little vulnerable this offseason
They were very vulnerable last season and no one even hinted at an offer sheet to kakko.
This is a fantasy hockey site, but for an offer sheet to work you need 2 things.
The player has to accept the offer - Laf is currently living in NYC, one of the best places to live if you are a young millionaire. He's going to clearly give that up to live in Winston Salem.
The team has to then not be able to match the offer, either due to cash constraints (AHO) or salary cap constraints - The rangers will be put in a tight spot for a few years if Laf is offered 4.8 and then miller is offered 4.8
But then the rangers will eventually lock up their core, and absolutely offersheet any player coming out of RFA to deals the canes can't match. The canes got nailed by an RFA sheet with Aho, they do not want to start a war with the rangers who have far more free cash than the canes.
GM's dont do offer sheets for a reason.
