They’re going to move him for a Bjorkstrand, Gourde or Burakovsky type player and a 1st roubder

Hawks will give ya Raddysh, the tampa 1st and a 3rd. Raddysh is 780k next year and you can take the 8.2M savings to fix the defense and goaltending. Problem solved. TRad was a 20 goal 40 point guy last year

No incentive for SEA to do that

There's plenty of reason for Seattle to do that, they have the cap space to sign him, they could use an actual star player, and this season feels like they are overperforming as much as they underperformed their first season. Bjorkstrand and the 23 1st is a perfectly reasonable swap for both teams.

Debrincat isn't a star player. High end complimentary piece. Watched just about every non sens game he's played in his career, and given he was a lot worse on the sens I don't think that changed this year

Don't think it's a "good" offer compared to what you paid, just don't think anyone is giving you a "good offer"

And Seattle is in the playoffs, so the 1st is going to be late, and Bjorkstrand hasn't worked out in Seattle. Trade is still a fit.

Seattle will have better places to sepnd their cap. Not going to happen. If you want it that bad maybe that's a hint it's not good for the other team.

Not sure where we're getting "bjorkstrand didn't work out" in Seattle from. 20 goals 45 points for a guy they gave up a 3rd for is great. No need for them to give up a 1st and 4 million extra for Cat who scored a whopping 7 more goals. Teams with strong mangment don't trade their picks away too early..... maybe Dorian could learn a thing or two

They’re not getting a 7th pick back. But can’t tell me Burakovsky would be worth the 7th either for example

Seattle Doesn't need cat. They already have too many forwards. They have Bjorkstrand, Sprong, Eberle, schwartz, etc, etc that give them similar production to cat without costing them 8-9M and a 1st round pick. Seattle will need to move a forward or two out probably but don't need to take one back, they have Wright coming next year

Cat scored 66pts in a down year without a good centre. Bjorkstrand had 45pts. They’re not even close. Don’t know what you’re on or why you’re so salty. Seattle has tons of middle 6 forwards but no legit top 6. Cat is a LEGIT top 6F

Kraken scored the 4th most goals in the league this season. What im "on" is called a dose of reality. Kraken aern't trading for cat. If anything they'll move a F and picks out for a dman.

What are you on about? I'm not a fan of either team, I'm an outside observer free of homer perspective on either team or either player.

5.4 million AAV isn't great for a sub 50 point guy playing on the third line, he's not as good a fit in their system as he was in Columbus, and as csik also pointed out, they have a ton of middle 6 guys (one could argue they have an entire team of middle 6 guys), they are light at the top 6. Even this season Debrincat would be 2nd on Seattle in goals after McCann. They've also got a fair bit of cap coming off the books in the next few years, so they won't have cap issues as young guys start to take over the roster, even while dragging Grubauer's deal around with them.

“From what I heard this morning, I think we’re talking about a guy who has no inclination of signing here,” said Garrioch. “He said he’s open to having discussions but I found what he said was very non-committal. He didn't show any signs that he’s going to sign a contact extension here.

And this is a Sens reporter so idk do what you will but I wouldnt be surprised if hes moved as he did not have a good season by his standards.

Brady was rumoured of the same thing. Your point?

There not really rumors. This is a Sens reporter not some guy on a website

He wouldnt mention it if he felt it was not true as these guys often have sources within the org so yea.

Would honestly not surprise me if Cats moved as at times he did not look happy there and by his standards not the best season
