If Detroit is giving up THAT much to Nashville, they'd have to be getting Josi alongside Saros grimace Not sure NSH finds much need for Cossa, either.

Perhaps it could be done but Wings would probably have to add a first round pick and another prospect.

Seems quite generous for Nashville though im not big on Veleno or Zadina. Cossa isnt a need but having a 2nd premium goalie prospect would be good and we can always trade 1 later. This honestly more than checks the block for what id want in a saros trade...

Good C prospect
1st round pick or equivalent value - Raymond
Whatever else we can get - everything else in the trade

Dont think Redwings would ever consider parting with that much though for a goalie with Cossa in the pipeline unless they are getting pressed by ownership to compete next seasons. Even then... thats alot

i dont place much value on sissons or trenin personally as i see them both as replaceable through internal means. Sissons by Parssinen and Trenin by Afanaseyev. So whatever value you assigned to them is fine by me. Saros is the only player i care about in the trade from nashville and that return seems great.

It's a lot, but Kasper's the only piece that really interests me for NSH. Cossa and Raymond have value, but I'd rather get draft picks. NSH does need more young goalies in the pipeline, but not a potential starter on the same time frame as Askarov. Raymond adds to the glut on the right wing. Veleno and Zadina are young, but that's all they have going for them. They're downgrades on Trenin and Sissons.

If Saros were being shopped, I only see NSH taking this deal if they have buyers lined up to immediately flip some of these pieces - like they did with Nolan Patrick.

We can always trade prospects. Cossa and Askarov would give us a similar issue that Vancouver had with schneider and Luongo. Develop them both and if they both turn out NHL quality trade one for a good return. Raymond, kasper, and then add in kemell on that line could be a sweet line. Perhaps opens up the possibility of trading duchene sooner rather than later. If we are trading saros, we are rebuilding and the assets here are pretty high quality. Veleno and zadina dont do anything for me and like you said id preferably have a buyer lined up which i dont think would be terribly difficult
