PIT
  1. Greer, AJ
  2. Hall, Taylor
Additional Details:
I've seen a few Hall trades to Pittsburgh recently and I really like the idea. From what I've seen his value is low? Ig that's my question. What would be have to give up to get him? This trade was the most recent I've seen.

BOS have to sell some key pieces next yr from the cap issues from Bergeron and Krejci ($4.5 mil in dead Cap), plus Pasta extension. Hall, I am assuming, is unneeded.

Why on earth would they take that awful deal?

Awful offer. Not tempting at all. We'd like to keep Greer, as well.

I can see why this would be appealing, but would be a bad move for us imo. Dont need another 30+ player who has likely passed his prime. Especially at that cap hit and term.

In terms of this specific trade, I don't think it would be good for either side.

If you read what I said underneath the trade it said "This trade was the most recent I've seen". I was just asking what his value is.

The thing is, our top 6 age wasnt the problem. Our bottom 6 and defense was too old. That was the problem

It will be in a year or two. Or sooner even. A lot of the contracts are going to age very bad. Zucker was great this year but first year in 4 years he lived up to his contract. Rust looks like on the decline. Guentzel I am concerned about due to how much be gets beat up in games. And core could drop off soon and it's unlikely we get another season of them fully healthy. If it wasn't a problem already it will be soon. I completely understand where your coming from and can see the other side, but even if their age wasn't a problem last year I would rather get 2 younger top 6 wingers. I mentioned this in another thread but my concern is we'll follow a similar path to the Blackhawks. They missed playoffs for first time in a while, went all in and retooled the next summer, their core was still playing great, but for some reason they dropped off bad next year, even though their roster on paper was great. Idk just don't have a great feeling about it

The fact that anyone would offer that is mind boggling. I think his value is easily a 1st and probably a half decent prospect too.

I'd take a 2nd + an ok prospect. You can just have AJ Greer for free lol. He takes stupid penalties and being willing to drop the gloves, he's not a good fighter. He's an ok 13th forward, but not a guy I want in my line-up on a regular basis.
