Anaheim declines. We have guys to play center on our fourth line.

Chabot is the 15th highest paid Dman in the league. He doesn't warrant that money and certainly team aren't paying a first and more to acquire him.

Hawks decline. Boucher was a reach at #10 to begin with, crashed and burned at BU against older guys, and hasn't had a full, healthy season in 3 years. Way too many red flags here for Hawks to take a chance. Boucher needs to play a full season and be productive for him to have any real trade value IMO.

I might have a little interest in Boucher...but no chance for all those pieces. The quanity of pieces asked from the Hawks makes it seem like the preceived value is still a mid first round value which is not likely his value to anyone else. I would not blame the Sens for doubling down and seeing if he can stay healthy/develop before settling for a trade value more along the lines of a 2nd rounder which is probably the best anyone is going to do with the questions surrounding him. Dickinson retained alone should bring back a 2nd rounder at the deadline for the Hawks.

Chabot is good enough to play the right side. and if not, Guhle can and Harris can. You make that trade everyday

I'd package that for one young top RD prospect, such as Clarke, Nemec, Jiricek, not a guy thats 26 y/o.
but the team with these prospects dont need to trade em so, gotta draft one. need a true RD, not a LD thats good enough to play on the right side, barely any team has a LD playing 1st RD.
if habs fall to 7, only if its 7 then habs should draft Reinbacher, if its 5th draft Smith or whoever drops to 5.

This isnt a video game where you can go out and acquire anyone at anytime. None of those players are available unless you severely overpay. And you want an elite rhd and opt for the Habs to draft Reinbacher at 7 when hes no better than the dudes we have already. And Tampa is the most successful team the last 10 years and they never had an elite RHD on their team

some of the top RDs are pretty much untouchable but there are some that have some nice potential
Ceulemans, Boqvist, Spence, Grans, Durzi, Schneider, Morrow.
and theres the ones that are a tier above such as
Nemec, Jiricek, Clarke.
i'd def try for Jiricek, as a Hutson/Jiricek and Guhle/Barron top 4 would be really good.

Why go for a not so elite LD when u have a couple that has decent potential though, just because ''he's good enough to play LD'' doesnt mean we should trade for him, maybe Hutson, Guhle or Engstrom or somebody else entirely becomes the top pair LD for habs in the future, we prob try to compete for playoffs in 3 years, not next year, in 3 years Chabot will be in his prime, though at 26 he should be but he only cracked 50 points once.
