IMO you've overpaid for the current version of Dumba. Compher....Coyotes might have pay a premium to get him....let's say 5.25m and then six years isn't unreasonable.

Flames should take that and run. Kylington is a huge question mark, I would prefer he is someone else's question mark with 1 year until he hits UFA.

I agree with Dumba, but if the Hockey News story is true and they want to start getting close to competing for fear they lose some young guys, that's a situation where overpaying occurs

Compher is the only one of the UFAs listed that would move the needle. Pretty good choice.

Dumba is not worth even half that and will probably want more, I expect that Bill Armstrong is smarter than going after a weak asset like him. I would target Erik Gustofsson over Dumba for a vetran D that adds value, his bang for the buck is way more than Dumba's will ever be.

Raanta has already been an AZ experiment, his injury history is just too much to worth risking one of two goalie spots. Veg and Iggy are a decent pair for the next few years, makes sense to stay put.

I just don't see Killington, Kerfoot or Butcher adding anything.

Players like Morgan Frost, Sonny Milano, Daniel Sprong, Sebastian Aho (NYI) are far more likely targets. Young guys that still are growing into their potential are the type of guys that the Coyotes should be looking at.

This team could be even more competitive if they put Weber, little, and voracek on LTIR and spent that money. Or they could probably trade them for underperforming guys on cap strapped teams and hope the change of scenery can help their games.
