Nashville is heading towards a rebuild, fat chance of Backlund waiving to go there. He's 34 and the Preds are going younger.

As mentioned above, Nashville doesn't trade for a upcoming UFA
Ekblad doesn't waive and certainly the Panthers don't want 7m Kadri for six more years any more than you do.
Sabres aren't giving up two picks for one year of Tanev. They can sign a short term UFA.

For buffalo trade i do have interest in tanev but i'm not trading two seconds. Maybe 1..
I'd offer a roster player. Jokijaru or ollofson straight up would be easy choices.

I'd disagree about Prokop. I think Ufko, Kulonummi, Stastney, maybe even Matier have more upside.

Ufko is sort of duking it out with him for top spot in that D pool. I would have Stastney on top, but I think that he should have graduated into the NHL with his performance this season. I hope we give him a spot on that 3rd pairing going into next year.

This is an awful trade for Carolina. Necas coming off a 71 point, 28 goal season for Backlund and a first? The Canes definitely say no and keep Necas at 3 million.
