I hate the idea of drafting Michkov, just too many question marks with regards to his coming over

Depends where MTL is picking for me. If habs drop outside of the top 5 and Michkov is still there, he is likely the best player available.

Yeah outside the top 5, maybe the risk is worth it but at 5th I take Smith over Michkov.

Edit: Under no circumstances should MTL be giving that much up for Dubois either.

I guess it really depends on if Smith is gone at 5, if he is then maybe taking Michkov isn't the worst plan. Even having to wait 2 years for him it still makes the future team better and he will be playing in the 2nd best league in the world, so good for his development as well.

i dont want the headache that the russian represents and waiting several years and he might come plus the russians could make their young players stay at home because of the war...Not to mention what happened with his father.. did he die or was he killed... way too much uncertainty and too much of a gamble let the caps draft the russian... i can see him sinking down the draft charts and only going between 8 and 10
