Canucks decline. If Boeser gets moved it is to clear cap space, not taking back a more expensive forward that we can't afford.

I'd easily accept that and then just move out a different winger. We need center depth way more than wingers.

If the Capitals want youth, You have to draft them, Not trade for other teams youths.

Kuznetsov is 30 and will be 34-35 by the time the Canucks window finally opens. He's also only under contract for 2 years, so he may just walk before we become contenders anyways. Canucks management have been very clear that they are looking for players 26 and under and have no interest in older players. Of all the moves Allvin/Rutherford have made since coming in, Mikheyev is the only player they've acquired who is older than 26, being 27 when they signed him.

The Blues have no need for Charlie. Love the guy, but someone else will need to take him.

Boeser is only sign for two more yrs also and he has never been and never will be as good as Kuznetsov. Center is the more premium position as well. Boeser was the worst defensive player on the team by wide margin. And he doesn't drive offense. He can play with good players and get points but he's not worth his contract. Can't skate, can't really even shoot anymore for some reason.

The smart play would be to do this trade if it was truly available then move JT Miller while we still can because his contract is the one that is going to hurt us when/if a window does open up for us to contend in a few yrs.

Devils aren't interested. Tatar will probably be cheaper and won't cost us a pick.

I'm thinking it takes much more than a 5th to dump Mantha to the Ducks.

I had earlier considered we could do something with him, but since he is never healthy, the chance to flip him at the TDL is slim to none, this we would need a strong payment to take his 5.7 million in cap hit and 6.5 million in real money owed.

And no, we don't need help reaching the cap floor this coming season, we are $10 million clear of the floor after our RFA signings and filling out our roster.

Vancouver doesn't have the cap space, they are already over the cap for 23-24 by a couple million, this adds another 1.2 million in cap, and they still have a couple holes on the roster to fill.

I mentioned above how this would be a good trade and then we'd have to move another winger out. JT MIller being my recommendation.

I think Mantha to ANA would be an okay move, but if they take the full cap, they’re gonna want a late 2nd or 3rd
