Hawks might consider this. I stress MIGHT. Not like Labanc is a useless player. But that almost $6m in actual salary could be the dealbreaker. He sure ain't worth that. But Hawks gotta pay someone to play for them next season

I don't see why CHI would take this. Can obtain salary and get paid to do so. The risk factor here outweighs the positives and I think that would nullify any value to this proposal.

Oops. We sign Gaudreau, just missed that one. With Chi i pitch it as low risk bc he’s on expiring deal and high reward bc if he plays well he can be moved for assets easily. It’s not a dealbreaker for us anyways, we could always just eat his salary this season and try to move him at the deadline again. The things I see left to deal with are:
1) How soon can a top draft pick join our team? It’s likely a forward who would improve any line.
2) We have too many 3rd pair defensemen and 4th line wingers: which ones can be moved for assets? Simek? Benning? Or maybe even Ferraro?
3) Can we pick off some quality players from teams in cap hell? Tampa? Florida? Toronto? Minnesota? We will finally have some prospects but we need more NHL bodies.
